Education Other Than At School (EOTAS)

At ARCOS we never say never and we take this approach to helping young people learn.

Meet Our Programme Lead

Amy Goff is our fully qualified programme lead, bringing exceptional expertise to our EOTAS provision. With QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and a Master’s degree in Psychology, Amy has been working with neurodivergent young people across a range of settings for 20 years.

Amy firmly believes that children learn best through play and through topics that interest them. Her innovative teaching methods have included delivering education through the medium of popular culture that resonates with young people – from Vampire Diaries and Stranger Things to Lord of the Rings.

Our Personalised Approach

Amy engages with young people on their level, carefully looking at their interests and sensory needs to develop programmes that suit each individual.
No two lessons are the same.

With younger people, she takes a play-based approach, exploring education through games and role play. This makes learning engaging, memorable, and enjoyable whilst still achieving educational outcomes.

Holistic Learning

We take a holistic approach to learning that goes far beyond traditional subjects. Our programme encompasses:
  • Core academic subjects (Maths and English)
  • Essential life skills
  • Creativity and self-expression
  • Mental and physical wellbeing

We offer LEGO therapy facilitated by Amy, an advanced practitioner who can run brick clubs for groups of 3+ children, providing an engaging way to develop communication and social skills.
