Paul Newman lives in Malvern and in April 2016 Paul ran the London Marathon for ARCOS. Paul’s father Robert was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease a few years ago and has been under going treatment at ARCOS to help him with his eating and speech difficulties. Paul decided that the best way to “say thanks” was to fundraise for ARCOS by running the marathon.
Paul finished the race in a brilliant time of 3 hours 54 minutes 23 seconds. You can still support him now by visiting his Virgin Money Giving page: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/PaulMNewman
Pauline and her family live in Cheshire and they are pleased that their local PCT has funded part of the therapy ARCOS provides for her son Samuel. “I wanted to raise awareness of ARCOS’ work with people who have complex and life-long difficulties and the training they provide for relatives, carers and teachers as well as wanting to raise cash to help support the services ARCOS provides” said Pauline “our eldest son had a rocky start as a baby and he has a mixture of problems including dyspraxia”. ARCOS has helped him at home, at school and in treatment sessions at the ARCOS Centre in Malvern. “It has helped and made a difference to our family”.Pauline has almost reached her fundraising target of £2,000 but you can still support her by visiting her JustGiving site: http://www.justgiving.com/Pauline-Brauckmann
